I wish there was something bigger than "Like" that I could use to express my reaction to this post. Very glad that you got to experience the walk, and even more grateful for your compassion and generosity to share it.
What a beautiful walk. I'd have been so anxious at the back not knowing where we were going. I can feel the tension. And the yearning for inspiration, which never comes when you want it. I've learned about myself that inspiration is much more likely to hit when I'm home and comfortable than when I'm in foreign countries having adventures. I might come to write about them after the fact, but it's almost never in poetry. Still, there's something magical in following a poet into the unknown in western Ireland. And the white horses are utterly splendid.
My wife was assembling a jigsaw puzzle as I read your poem. I groaned with pleasure. She said, "What." I said, "Some people write so well."
You are too kind, Douglas. Thank you.

Thank you, dear Bradley!
I enjoyed this, Ang. Felt like I was there, and so glad it was a one way trip!
Thinking of you, P, and W.
❤️☘️Thank you, KJ!
